A country house and garden of considerable heritage and significance which has been restored and enhanced as a country retreat. The client, architect and landscape architect worked closely together as a team to create a well integrated design where the garden compliments the house and has strengthened the heritage character of the site.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Master Plan was prepared which clearly illustrated those elements of the original garden that was to be retained, those elements that were to be removed and how the proposed elements were to be integrated.

A formal rose garden was designed incorporating bench seating, a circular pond with fountain and a colonnade upon which climbing roses could be grown

A timber pergola provides the entrance for a generous pathway that links the visitor car park to the front door.

 

 

A circular rose garden was incorporated into the northern parkland, providing a peaceful retreat complete with the tinkling sound of water.
