Coachwood Crescent, Sydney, NSW A difficult, steeply sloping site which required an inviting and comfortable entrance garden. Belonging to one of Australia's cricketing heroes, Steve Waugh, our client was disappointed not to have the space for a Weeping Willow, but he now has a garden that has featured on the popular television series, Burke's Back Yard.

An entrance path of sawn sandstone links the visitor car park with the front verandah. Generous drifts of low flowering shrubs and groundcovers soften the edge of the path, providing a comfortable and welcoming entrance to the house.

The extensive changes of level have been utilised by having water tumbling beneath a timber bridge in the path, flowing into a small pond which then cascades down as a waterfall to the level of the house, adjacent to the steps.
