After 22 years since construction, the stream has matured beautifully with moss & lichen covering the rocks and boulders.

Tintagel Tumbling Stream, Mittagong, NSW
Effectively integrated within an established garden

high on Mt. Gibraltar, this  tumbling  stream  flows

gently through the length of the garden, incorporating

two  substantial  ponds. Created from an open length

of lawn, the sixty metres of water tumbles down through

rock and vegetation, providing a soothing and refreshing

sound which has resulted in creating a particularly

special garden.

A cascade of water falls from a central pond located opposite the house and flows gently beneath a stone bridge. Seaside Daisy has been allowed to naturalise amongst the rocks to help integrate the stream into

 the rest of the garden.

The stream is made up of a series of weirs formed by the careful placement of large boulders and stone. Low flowering plants soften its edge and a gravel path meanders about the stream, crossing it over a stone bridge and stepping stones.
